Arrop i talladetes

Recipes for 4 portions

1 liter of must ·
1 kg. pumpkin ·
300 gr. of sugar

Cut the squash, removing the skin, and add about 1 cm of width and thickness and about 4 cm in length. Submerge the pumpkin in water, in which we will have dissolved a tablespoon of quicklime. Keep the fruit in this solution for 2 to 3 hours until the fruit is hardened. Wash carefully and drain. In a saucepan pour the liter of must, add the pumpkin and sugar and heat over low heat, stirring often, for 2 or 3 hours until the must is thick. It will be dark and the pieces will be soaked with the taste of the must. Place in jars and seal in the water bath.
